In Washington's Farewell address he brings up many points about his time as president and even warnings for the future. He talks about his time as president and how through unity and dedication. As one they endured and fought, eventually succeeding, gaining independence. Also stating that the unity of government is essential to the freedom of the people, ensuring the safety of citizens at home.

Washington also listed many warnings in his farewell address. One mentioning the Constitution, explaining that it is important to keep the government and the people organized. He continues to warn people from forming parties in state as there is no good that can come from it. He issues a second warning, this time addressing religion and morality. He stresses that good faith and peacefulness is important in diplomacy with other nations. Also stating that jealousy of the free people is frequent but the United States must remain impartial in foreign affairs. He talks about public credit as well. He  says to cherish it and use it sparingly to cultivate peace. Using it wisely will help avoid wars and other conflicts.

Barack Obama was the 44th President of the United States. He, like George Washington gave a farewell address. Obama is the last president to give a farewell address.
